just got back from a few days away so this post is a little late. had a lovely time exempt for the rain and the rather large puddle that formed in our caravan awning but thats holidays in the uk for you!!!!

Anyway these last two weeks have flown by and its time for a new Challenge at Brown Sugar

Thought i would share a retirement card I made for someone at work, I have used popcorn bear stamp borrowed from my mum, coloured in with promarkers, sizzix textured plates with white wash coordinates card, papers and ribbon found in stash

Steampunk, with funky hair

Hi all

When looking through the blogs I follow I noticed Passion For promarkers challenge was monochrome image with unusual hair colour, fancied giving this a go, I found this image while looking for manga pictures to print out as part of my daughters birthday present, to go with her promarkers we have bought her. 

The image can be found here, there is some fantastic images to download and they are so fun to colour.

I choose blue as my unusual hair colour and browns for the monochrome. I then spent last night getting messy with distress ink, perfect pearls and some water, I used perfect pearls to make all the die cuts, have a look of gold or bronze. Found some thick foil like paper and embossed this and added perfect pearls to change the colour

Pink and Hearts

Hi all 

I found some papers I must have printed out ages ago and never used, not sure where I got them from but thought I would make a card to share. I also have made some flowers using the smallest cut on tim holtz tattered flowers, decided not to use a sentiment yet, so it can sit in my stash for one of those emergency cards that you also seem to need.

I decided to use a free image from Saturated Canary 'Fancy', and has been coloured in with promarkers I have used a Cricut cut from Create a Critter for the rainbow and distressed it with antique linen, The papers were from my stash not sure what they are. The leaf cut is memory box die, and the flowers are wild orchids

Hot Air Balloon

Hi All

Its been a while but first week back at work was a little hectic. Thought I would share a card made with a new LOTV stamp I bought but not used yet. 

I have used a script stamp for background, sizzix fancy circle die and sizzixlits tag die. I found this cute pad of paper, vellum and card in my stash and have used the vellum and chocolate card stock from that. Every thing is distressed with antique linen and vintage photo 

Image is coloured with Promarkers Putty, tan, sandstone, caramel and cocoa

Cute donkey

Hi all

I have wanted to try a Kris cross card for a while so decided to have a go today, it is my last day of my annual leave today, back to work tomorrow so spent my last day relaxing and crafting. 

A friend a work has just had a baby girl so I have made this for him and his wife. I have used this cute little donkey image from whimsey stamps and coloured it in with promarkers, the papers are raspberry road design and some I got free with a mag, lace and ribbon from my stash.

Wedding Card

Hi all 

I was asked to make a wedding card for someone and they wanted it to say 'Dad and Barbara'. I really enjoyed making the book card for my Dad last month so I thought I would try it again with a wedding theme.

The stamp is from SWALK, the font is gypsy font cut on the Cricut, the frame I found in my stash along with the hearts and lace. The single rose is from wild orchid, The papers are distressed using vintage photo and the image and the doilies are distressed with Victorian velvet.

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone

Thought I would share a card I have made for my Daughter 11th birthday at the end of the month,  For her birthday she has asked  for her own set of promarkers, I manged to buy some sets when they were on offer so she will hopefully have a good selection to use. (she also wants me and her to go on a grily shopping trip for new clothes)

 I was looking for some colouring pages on the internet, I thought I would print her some off to put with the promarkers, plus some digital stamps. I came across some Sarah Kay colouring pages, so printed it of to use on her card.

It was a lovely image to colour in really enjoyed it. I have used some Kanban card for the backing card,  Tim holtz flourish die sizzix stamp and die set for the sentiment, wild orchid flowers and ribbon and lace from stash,  also found the piece of denim in my stash not sure where it came from

Promarkers Used are 

Skin- Blush, Putty and Coral

Top and hat- Blossom, Rose pink and Antique pink

Trousers- Tea green, powder blue, denim blue flex marker cadet blue
