Girly (but no pink)

I have made a card for my sister who is 20 weeks pregnant, Iam so excited as this will be first time at being a Auntie and now that my children are older cant wait for a little one in the family again (plus this one I can give back) I have wanted to make this card for a while and finally managed it on the couple of days annual leave I have had this week 

I have made it super girly with butterflies, flowers and lace, the image is of cause saturated canary and I have used lots of distress ink, and scrap bits of card from my stash

Very late today posting, I blame it on the clocks going back!!!!

Inspired by a film

I have used the Snowman image from Kenny K, and of course my inspiration has come from the film 'The Snowman' as while making this card I kept singing 'Walking through the air' much to my daughters disgust!!!!

I have used free xmas papers from a magazine, along with memory box snow flake die and a Tree die with lots of glitter that you cant really see on the photo

Well I think it is finally autumn here in Yorkshire it is cold and raining and we have finally put the heating on, which to be honest makes making a card for the new Challenge that starts today over on Moving Along with the times at little easier as making Christmas Cards when it is summer and warm outside doesn't put me in the mood,

Its a Kind of Magic

Hi All 

I never make anything for Halloween, but when Kenny K brought some new images the other week I just had to give this one a go, along with the hunted house image from Kenny K to, 

I decided on black and green using my promarker, I have done a shadow box, to frame the hunted house, so this will be a wall hanging for Halloween, I found the little spider in my son's room, so stole it as I thought it would finish the card, (hope he doesn't mind) The sentiment is a free font Black Widow and them computer generated

MAWTT first DT Post

Hi all

The first challenge after the summer break over on Moving along with the Times starts today, and for this challenge both teams are working together to bring you a super easy theme 

Anything Goes 

This is my first challenge as a DT member, I have used one of the cute fairy images from saturated canary love these fairies keep making cards with them, papers are DCWV and the embossing folder is docrafts used with co-ordinates, card, the flowers are made using a tonic punch and spellbinder blossom and branch die, other embellishments and stickers are from my stash

Super news

Hi all 

I have some super new I have been accepted on to Moving along with the Times DT, I did a little dance when I got the email!!!!!! so looking forward to working with a great and talented bunch of people. Challenges start back up on the 3rd of October, so I hope you will join in 

I thought I would share a Kenny K card today its one that had been coloured up and the backing papers ready and then had been left on my crafting table for ages, so thought it would be a good idea to finish it off,

 I won over on Kenny K challenges a few weeks ago a fab Steampunk stamp set from whimsy designs so added this image and sentiment along with Savannah Belle digital stamp, I used a free stamp from a magazine to do the background paper, The design papers and cameo are from the works, and the flower is a woodware punch

Happy Birthday Hannah

Hi all

Not been around much, work and school holidays do not mix, and not had much time for crafting.

It's my daughters 12th birthday today so thought I would share the card I made her as well as her cake, I am not the best cake decorator, but I have always made my kids a birthday cake and do come up with ideas that are way above my capabilities and always give them a go, anyway this year I decided three days ago I would make a high heeled shoe, which took me all of last night to decorate it as it kept falling apart, was finally satisfied after I stuck all the bits that kept falling apart with lots of  butter icing, here is the result.....

Her card is a shadow box card, using the new fairy images from saturated canary. The clouds are done with a spellbinder cut and distress ink denim I think. the hills I have done using the wave embossing border on the ultimate pro, then all the flowers are hand made using various dies

I made a card and gift for my Son's Teacher using this super cute saturated canary image, and sentiment as I thought it was perfect for my sons teacher as he has progressed so well this year.The box is made using the tutorial from stempeleinmaleins and it holds some nice chocolates. New Kenny K Steampunk image

Hi all

Can't believe I have'nt posted again for two weeks, the time is just flying by at the moment, and I am on annual leave from work at the moment, so you would have thought I would have plenty of time for crafting, but we decided to decorate the kids bedrooms, and then my sister and her partner came to stay so been really busy.

Kenny K released new stamps last weekend and I just had to have them, as I love playing with steampunk images and these images are just fab, I bought all three, the first one I have coloured up is Velocitia using my promarkers, the backing paper with pocket watches on was made using a stamp and distress inks, other paper is papermaina and the hands have been cut out using these papers, The clock die is Mariana, and the stamp die is sizzix

Hi again

shades of purple with the main focus being a butterfly or butterflies with at least one of the following, buttons, brads, ribbon or bling,

I have made a box using my Crafters Companion Ultimate pro, the image is a urban stamp from papermania, and this image is heat embossed with black embossing powder and distressed with Milled Lavender. The butterfly dies are spellbinder,a and gems are from my stash

My Grandma's Birthday

Hi all 

Hope all you guys in England are enjoying this wonderful weather we are having at present, 

Wanted to share a card that I have made for my Grandma she turned the grand age of 95 the other day and we spent the day at my mums and dads having a little party for her, here is my two Hannah and Joe with their Great Grandma

 Here is the card I made for my Grandma, I have gone die cut mad on this card, I have used a A4 card blank along with a image from Saturated Canary coloured in with promarkers, I nicked a few spellbinder dies from my mum ( I have given her them back so I really only borrowed them !!!!) The gazebo, bonsai tree butterfly's and the fancy rectangles are all spellbinders, flowers and fence are Memory box,

I have treated myself to some Spectrum Noir pens, been wanting to try these pens all year and finally decided to purchase them and also Hobby Craft were doing a super offer on the pack of six pens 3 for 2 so I bought a few packs,

I have spent the last two weeks having a good play with my new pens and also completing the accreditation program that Spectrum Noir run, I got my email the other day to say that I had passed and a lovely blinkie and certificate, I am over the moon that I passed first time.

Books and Holiday

Hi all 

Its been nearly two weeks since I last posted which I cant believe life has been so busy that I haven't got much crafting done really, but I made this card for my sister's birthday in may and never got round to sharing it with you all.
