Warrior Princess

Hi all 

Well its back to work for me tomorrow after a lovely two weeks off, so I have spent my last day crafting, and thought I would share a few cards,

My husband as been asking me to by the Warrior Princess Image from Kenny K for ages, but I kept putting it of as I didn't know what to do with it, anyway decided to give it a go, the image was super fun to colour in, and I had a great time getting messy with distress inks and embossing powers.

I have used moss green and rusty inks for the background, the die cuts have been embossed with aged copper

Hi all

I have used airborne which can be found here, perfect for my sons friend, 

decided not to use design papers and kept to card, never usually use bright green, but really like the color with the black, I have embossed the black card with a sizzix star embossing board but my photos never seem to catch the embossing, some brads and buttons from my stash, and Tim Holtz gear dies

I decided to use sassy jasmine honey, I have used my new paper pad Venaissance, by Llewelyn-Bowen, and also a new Cricut cartridge I got 'Paper Dolls Dress up' which has some fab cuts on it. a spellbinder die and lace I got from my local shop, 

I have run out of Kraft card, but as I was wrapping up all those Christmas presents, and got to end of a roll I looked at the brown card that is in the center of the roll and thought this may work on cards, bit of distress ink on the card and it worked fine, plus I am recycling something I would usually throw away, so was please with my findings.

A Pirate Birthday

Hi all

I finally bought some more Kenny K stamps, I have use the Li'l Pirate, such a great image to colour in, plus my son was off to a birthday party this weekend so perfect for a 7 year old boy. I found the globe paper in a paper book that I have had for years, the cuts are from gypsy wanderings, and mickey font.

Hi all

Its my 3rd post of the day, I had 2 orders for anniversary cards, I decided to to use the cute love boat image from LOTV, The papers are from raspberry road designs, and I finally bought some Karft card the other day so both card have this on them. The buttons on the bottom card are from a huge stash from my Grandma that she has had for years so there is some fantastic old buttons in this collection

Brown Suagr # 9

Hi

I am sure the weeks are getting faster!!! soooo busy at work and with all the flooding in north Yorkshire it has made it take twice as long to get anywhere, which has left very little time for crafting at the moment, which I hate, but I now have 3 days off so hopefully I will get some time in between cleaning and ironing

Anyway its Friday so its time for another weekly challenge over on Brown Sugar this time we are sponsored by

The theme this week is Come Sunday the DT got to use images from the Come Sunday section, I decided that I would use Sunday Suit, I have coloured the image in using a range of brown promarkers, then get the monochrome theme going in the papers and flower.

My Mother in Law had all the paper flowers in a tub not using them, so she kindly gave them to me, there is loads off different flowers in there, I got so excited that she gave them to me, it was like Christmas!!!!!

Humphreys Christmas

Hi all

I have managed to join another DT which I am so pleased about. This DT is for a brand new challenge blog

The theme is always anything goes and the challenges are ever two weeks, so its really easy to join in the fun

I decided to do a Christmas card. I have used a Humphreys Corner stamp which has coloured in with promarkers. The papers are papermania and used a sizzix christmas embossing plate. The snow flake is a Cricut cut with broken china distress inks, pearls are from the stash.

Hot Air Balloon

Hi All

Its been a while but first week back at work was a little hectic. Thought I would share a card made with a new LOTV stamp I bought but not used yet. 

I have used a script stamp for background, sizzix fancy circle die and sizzixlits tag die. I found this cute pad of paper, vellum and card in my stash and have used the vellum and chocolate card stock from that. Every thing is distressed with antique linen and vintage photo 

Image is coloured with Promarkers Putty, tan, sandstone, caramel and cocoa

LOTV Shop

Hi All

I went to the Lili of the Valley shop yesterday, its only a 40min drive from my house and cant  believe I haven't been until now, I went with my sister and we loved it. Bought a new stamp and some wild orchid flowers that have been wanting for ages and there was such a lovely selection I bought a few bunches.

Thought I would share a card I have made with my new stuff. The stamp is 'Love Boat' and coloured in with my promarkers, design papers are from Raspberry Road.

Hi all 

Wanted to enter Saturated Carney challenge this fortnight plus an excuse to colour in the free image that was available last week, I could happily colour in Krista's Images in all day long.

When looking through the inspiration from  the DT team I noticed a few using the Dymo machine which I have had for years and always used on my scrapbook pages never thought of using it on a card so thought I would give it ago.

Thank You Cards

Hi all

Last day at school for the kids for the next 6 weeks, I had already done the presents, so I thought I would share the cards I have made.

Attended my daughters leaving assembly today, it was lovely to see how all her class has grown and changed since they started primary school, took my tissues good job because I had tears by the time it had finished. Off my baby girl goes to secondary school in September

I love this image it reminds my of my son who spends many a day sitting playing his DS with his tongue sticking out!!!!!!

Summer Flowers

Hi All

I wanted to share a card I have made using some free stamps I got of a magazine this week. They are wee stamps, and are so cute.

I have kept it simple (for me anyway), and no design papers!!!!

I have used a spellbinders die to make the aperture in the card, and the flowers are made from Tim Holtz tattered flowers, with beads glued into the middle. Butterfly's are a Cricut cut lacy labels cartridge

Summer Fun

The image is coloured with promarkers. Most of the items I have used have been sat in my stash for years just waiting to be used, The blue paper is papermania, the tag and circle shapes are from a docrafts box set I have had for ages. I also found loads of different coloured slide mount I forgot I had, so I added one as a stopper for the easel. The sunglasses cut is from cricut create a critter

Red White and blue

Hi hope you are all having a great weekend

There seems to be a lot of red blue and white challenges at the moment so thought I would give it a go. I have used a saturated canary image which was free, I have coloured her with promarkers, I have used some colours I never use, always seem to go for pastel/pale colours but really like how it turned out.

I have done a stepper card but you cant really tell from the photo, the papers where free from the docrafts magazine. So really this card didn't cost much to make as the flowers were made from die cuts and punches all using scrap bits of cards.

Hair- Caramel. Cocoa, Burnt Sienna

New Grandparents

Hi all

A friend at work has just become a grandma for the first time I wanted to make her a card that was a bit different. I have used SWALK stamps for this card groovy Granny and grandpa to represent them becoming grandparents, and then inside the card I have uses special little person for the birth of their lovely grandaughter.

All images have been coloured in with promarkers and the papers are from Me to You. Die cuts are done with sizzix framelits and flowers are from tonic petals punches. I have had the little gold feet embellishments for ages not sure were they are from but I always use them on baby cards they are just so sweet, and there is a little safety pin on the lace that I don't think you can see that well on the photos.
